My background is in both marketing, I hold a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University - Mays Business School, and law, I am licensed to practice law and went to Texas A&M University School of Law. I consider myself a multipotentialite because I not only have a degree in marketing and a law license, but I was a competitive gymnast, a writer, an actress with an acting agent for 15 years, and more. A multipotentialite is someone who doesn't have one true calling like specialists do. We have the ability to be successful in multiple industries sometimes simultaneously.

Through my podcast I want to help you realize Your Potential for Everything and learn from my guests about how they have managed to lead lives in multiple careers and never had to settle for having one answer to the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Jamie Jackson Spannhake is an author, an attorney, and a wellness guru. After pursuing an acting career in her early 20s, Jamie decided to change her life dramatically and attend law school. She graduated magna cum laude and received a job offer from a large law firm in Manhattan. She went in full force and it was great … for about six months, but realized the values in the Big Law firm were not hers.

She continued to pursue the law, but realized she hadn’t determined her values and what was important to her before she started. That was when she started thinking about writing a book – to help other lawyers avoid the mistakes she had made.

Her book, The Lawyer, the Lion, & the Laundry, outlines what she learned and practiced on her journey to enjoy life. She became certified as a health coach in 2006 and researched, read books and articles, attended workshops, and talked to people about what worked for them. She tried different tools and techniques over 10 years, experimenting in her own life.

With what she has learned and practiced, she is able to enjoy her life in spite of her numerous responsibilities and activities. She has a wonderful and happy ten-year-old daughter along with two dogs, two cats, a law practice, a freelance writing career, and is partially responsible for her aging parents. Even with these responsibilities, she still has time to regularly practice yoga and meditation, play tennis, and run each week.
