My background is in both marketing, I hold a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University - Mays Business School, and law, I am licensed to practice law and went to Texas A&M University School of Law. I consider myself a multipotentialite because I not only have a degree in marketing and a law license, but I was a competitive gymnast, a writer, an actress with an acting agent for 15 years, and more. A multipotentialite is someone who doesn't have one true calling like specialists do. We have the ability to be successful in multiple industries sometimes simultaneously.

Through my podcast I want to help you realize Your Potential for Everything and learn from my guests about how they have managed to lead lives in multiple careers and never had to settle for having one answer to the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

In this episode of Your Potential for Everything, host Alex brings on Donna (BasicTaq) Walters, the founder of the CSU Esports Collective which works to bring esports to university campuses. Donna talks to Alex about Collegiate Esports, Community Building, & Higher Education.

Donna is a non-traditional student at California State University, Sacramento where her drive to gain community led her to found the CSU Esports Collective. She recently hosted the first of its kind, primarily student run event highlighting experts and entrepreneurs in the esports industry. The Esportspreneur Expo was a FREE public 5-day virtual event open to students, higher education professionals, and the general public to learn more about collegiate esports.

We discussed her background in community building and how that helped her with the event and in bringing collegiate esports to California campuses.
